Lily Pad claims the EASTAR Match Race Series

Sunday night saw the running of the first ever match race series at Gawler greyhounds, when the Eastar Match Races were conducted. The Series is normally run at Angle Park, but as an extensive upgrade of that track is about to commence, the Series was transferred to Gawler....

Angle Park Preview - 1st April 2021

Tonight we have another massive 12 event programme and the highlight is the running of the 2021 Easter Cup over the 600m, race 8 on the card. it certainly is a quality event as all 8 runners can run quick times on the lure. We also have two Maidens to kick start the night in recent weeks we have seen some quality times run by the youngsters and tonight it should be no different. As usual all races are Trifecta and First Four events, good luck at have a HAPPY AND SAFE EASTER....

Gawler to Race on Saturdays During Redevelopment

After advice was received from the Gawler Centrals Football Club and Gawler Greyhound Racing Club yesterday a change has been made to the racing dates during the Angle Park redevelopment where Gawler will be able to host the fortnightly Saturday morning meetings from May onwards. This will also mean that the Murray Bridge Straight track will race every week on Wednesday providing a weekly timeslot for the straight track....

Home and Away Trainer Fee Announcement

As announced by Greyhound Racing SA Limited (GRSA) on 23rd February 2021 a Home and Away Trainer Fee scheme is being implemented from 1st April 2021 in order to encourage strong nomination activity throughout the period of the Angle Park Track Works Project. Any participant that travels to a regional track not designated as their “home” track will be paid an additional $100 above their usual $50 for attending a GRSA race meeting....

First AP win for Lachlan & ‘Good Man’ Syndicate

It was celebrations all round following race 11 at Angle Park on Thursday night as Zipping Whoopi gave Lachlan Mill his first Angle Park win in a best of night 29.74 from box 5. To add to the celebrations, it was the first win for the newly formed ‘Good Man’ Syndicate, formed by Lachlan, his partner Tara Rasmussen and 9 new owners he has brought to the sport. ...

The local South Australian match race series, nicknamed 'The Eastar', has been shifted to Gawler due to the track update of Angle Park. The series will be held on Easter Sunday night, 4th April over the 531m. A big local crowd is expected for the meeting given the timing of the event and the public holiday the following day....
