Notification of Positive Swab
On 27th November 2015 Mr. Ivor Dowdell was informed that the greyhound HE GONE had shown the presence of COBALT from the urine sample taken at the Mount Gambier Greyhound Racing race meeting held at Mount Gambier on Sunday 25th October 2015, and that he would be advised of the date, time and place of an inquiry.
The reserve portion of the urine sample was tested and the presence of COBALT was confirmed in excess of the threshold of 100ng/mL, according to Rule 83(10).
Mr. Dowdell is now required to be available for a steward’s inquiry, together with any witnesses that may assist for an inquiry by the Stewards into the circumstances relating to the obtaining of the positive urine sample, this will be arranged for a date to be fixed.
As a result of this inquiry charges may be laid pursuant to GRSA Rules of Greyhound Racing.
He was further advised that if he does not attend this inquiry it may be held in his absence and charges may be laid pursuant to GRSA Rules of Greyhound Racing.
