TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow
We are still waiting for the sun to come out so the Shadow can reappear so our friends at SA.THEDOGS.COM.AU have kindly provided their over view of each of our races again tonight.

Race 1 - AFIRE (5) has had a short freshen up after finishing out of the money at The Meadows mid-October. Recorded a quick 30.38 PB when 2nd here the start prior and will prove hard to hold out. FEDERAL FLASH (3) will race on the speed from the good draw and looks the main danger. PAUA OF SILENCE (2) good 3rd at Murray Bridge last week and can place.

Race 2 - FEAR THE DRAGON (1) good 3rd here last week in a quick 30.26 when drawn near the fence. Has won 4 of his 8 starts this trip (30.28 PB) and is the one to beat. ROTTEN RONNIE (4) is up in class on recent racing however looks the Quinella.

Race 3 - Open middle-distance affair and lent towards CANYA STRIKER (1) from the rails draw. Good 3rd here last week over the 730m and can lead from the good draw. ONE LAST KISS (8) placed at his only start over this trip (34.64) and looks the danger. EXULTANT MCLAREN (2) won well here in 30.93 last week and has been in the money in all 4 starts this trip.

Race 4 - Hard to go past FANTASTIC SPIKE (8) off his impressive 30.26 victory over this trip last week. He has won 7 of his 15 starts over this trip and looks well placed in this. BUSTER BRADY (1) was a 30.44 winner over this trip mid-October and is the only danger. OREGON FAVORS (2) won well here last start in 30.70 and has place claims.

Race 5 - Semi Final 1 of the Brian Johnstone and will stick with MALLEE BEAUTY (6) she overcame the wide alley to win her heat in 30.72 last week and only needs even luck to win. ZINFANDEL PARDY (1) made it 3 in a row with a 31.09 heat win and is better drawn on this side of the track. SCARY EYES (4) is racing in consistent form and has each way claims.

Race 6 - Second and Final Semi for the Brian Johnstone and liked the way ZINFANDEL TRACE (2) got the job done last week. She will get a perfect run for this alley and prove too strong. DAKOTA RYLEN (1) looks the leader from the rail's alley and is the only danger. APILLA (4) huge run in her heat to finish 2nd and will be charging home late.

Race 7 - Multiple winning hopes but we're banking on the outside box doing the trick for WOODSIDE JOHNNY (8) Handy 3rd here last week and will be hard to beat with any luck early. CANYA ASSASSIN (3) only needs to nail the jump to be a leading contender. TERRIFIC BOBBY (2) has been consistent lately and has a quick PB over this trip.

Race 8 - Good quality event to finish the Quaddie and went with CABAO OPAL (1) with the advantage of the rails draw. Good when 4th in fast time here last week and won't need to improve too much to win. SEASONAL (4) has been racing in consistent form of late and looks the danger. ZELDA CHAOS (5) strong 3rd over this trip last week and has each way claims.

Race 9 - SPRINGVALE BRAY (8) continued his good form over the 732m trip with a 43.41 victory here last week. He meets a similar class field and only needs even luck to win. TIME AFTER TIME (4) good winner here two runs back and looks the main danger. ZIPPING WHISKEY (6) finished 2nd behind the Pink (8) last week and has place claims again.

Race 10 - Tricky middle-distance event with multiple chances. Lent towards HE'S MAGIC (8) won two of his past three over the 530m and the extra distance will suit. MITZI ROCKS (4) led all the way in a good 30.72 here last week and looks the big danger. ONE TWO ME (1) strong 30.67 winner here two runs back and is right in the mix in the small field.

Race 11 - Another open affair and went with PAW WHISPER (7) good 3rd in 25.72 at Ballarat last start and finds a winnable race at her SA debut. FINNISS PRESENCE (3) will find this easier than his 7th in 30.54 last week and is the danger. AUNTY MEEKA (2) owns a 30.97 PB this trip and has claims from the inside alley.

Race 12 - Another open event to finish the night and went with MIA MIGHTY (4) good winner at Murray Bridge two runs back and owns a smart 30.60 PB this trip. Only needs even luck to take this out. WOODSIDE FRANKIE (5) handy 3rd in 30.72 last week and looks the main danger. BLACK CHIP (8) is racing in consistent form and has place claims.
