ZIPPING Neutron has taken out the 2023 Bayroad Queen Stayers final after producing a powerful display in the feature event at Angle Park on Thursday night.

After wet weather forced its postponement last week, there were no issues with the delay for Zipping Neutron who jumped well from box eight before winning by nine lengths in 42.85.

The win was the fourth consecutive win for the Tim Aloisi trained runner who is continuing to emerge as a rising star in the distance ranks across the state.

Speaking in the post-race presentation, Aloisi said it was nice for Zipping Neutron to put together a complete performance after drawing well in box eight.

“Box draws in these big races are the key really,” Aloisi said.

“He likes it out wide and he drew out wide and that’s the way it panned out. All the dogs are good dogs and we finally had some luck with the box draw.”

Zipping Neutron has won four of its five starts since coming over from interstate with his best performance coming in the Bayroad Queen final which was a nice reward for Aloisi and his team.

“One of the owners wanted a staying dog, so we had a look around and liked him so we chased him down and bought him,” Aloisi said.

“It Is hard work but I have a pretty good support group around me.”

“We love it, my family love it and we love racing. We love South Australian racing and that’s why we support the club and the industry.

Zipping Neutron’s win was one of a double on the night for Aloisi, with Ravers Army continuing its run of good form with a win over the 595m trip.

Jumping from box eight, it was able to get to the early lead and was never troubled winning by two lengths in 34.43 to make it eight wins from its past 10 starts.

In the opening race of the night, Zambora Blaze backed up its impressive victory last week with another good run to claim the grade 6 final for trainer Steven Brook

Jumping from box six, it was wide for much of the run but was able to hang tough on the back straight before powering past Springvale Chip on the home turn.

Zambora Blaze pulled away to win by two lengths in a time of 30.85.

The best time of the night over the 530m trip went to Live It who romped to a 10-length win in the Greyhounds as Pets Grade 5 race.

Finding the lead down the back straight, Live It powered away from the field showing off its great speed to win in 30.53.
