Participants are advised that the internal access road along the northern boundary of the Virginia straight track site will be closed for major works, starting on Monday 29th November and remaining closed for approximately one week.

Access to the track for free galloping will still be possible, however participants will be required to park their vehicles near the catching pen and enter the track at that point, taking note of any safety/directional signage.

The access road to the south of the main track should not be used during the period of works, given it is not in a suitable condition for driving at speed.

If trainers are using the venue during this time, it is requested that you are conscious of large vehicles accessing the track throughout the day and stay well clear of the areas in which they are working. After hours attendance would be preferred for this reason.

It is hoped that the works on the road will significantly reduce the requirement for maintenance over the coming years and provide a smoother and safer experience for both participants and greyhounds.
