Tony Rasmussen with a 7 Winner Haul at Angle Park
In an amazing feat at Angle Park last night, Tony Rasmussen has walked away with an incredible 7 winners.
7 wins is a new record for Tony, beating his previous record at a premier city meeting of 6.
7 wins out of 12 races speaks for itself. What makes it even more impressive is Tony did not have a runner in races 1, 5 and 10 so out of a possible 9 races he had the 7 winners giving him a 78% strike rate last night.
“I am still on a high to be honest. It is very exciting for my family and all the team that help us with the dogs, it’s a massive thrill.” Rasmussen of Giifford Hill explains.
“I thought I’d win 4 or 5 as the dogs were all well boxed. There were a couple of dogs that won last night that I knew had the ability, but hadn’t gotten the rewards yet so I am happy for it all to fall together.” Tony continued.
Victa Grosso continued on his winning ways, beating littermate Victa Reid in a slick best of night run of 30.44.
“Victa Grosso is an absolute iron dog. He really is Mr Consistent and really gives it his all. We’ll target the Eastar Match Race Series and Anniversary Cup with him over the next few months.”
Moving forward, Razza Racing will have the next batch of superstars coming forward, with 56 pups currently going through the system, some with great early potential, including litters from Barcia Bale x Coorong Lucy and Barcia Bale x Little Earner.
Tony, who won the 2021 Trainer of the Year and for the previous 5 years, has set himself with a strong to 2022.
