Eastar Match Race Series (Race 3)

Selections –    8 Victa Haydn

                        5 Fantastic Victor

                        2 Jacks Well

                        4 Harbor Blues

The above are my selections for who I see winning each head to head duel with the order being how I think the times will line up from fastest to slowest heat winners.

The runner who will benefit the most from the 1 on 1 battles will be Victa Haydn, he won't know himself with the lack of traffic and just how easy he will find the rail. Watch this last section as well as I'll go on record, we could see the last section record in trouble. Which Haydn does currently own.

Victor vs Grosso is the race of the night for mine, Victor leads but just how far off does Grosso sit? he was average last start Grosso, but he doesn't run 2 poor races in a row and again the lack of a full field suits. Victor ain't weak, not even close, this will be a match racing at it's purest. Victor to lead and hold in a beauty!

The first match race will be just as good, Came And Went has just excelled over the last 6 months, fastest qualifier, if he's taken no issue with coming back from Broken Hill on Sunday were he contested the Cup he will lead and it's game on! I'd be all over Came And Went here until Jacks Well recent win at Gawler we're he went 3.14 to the winning post. If he can convert that to Angle Park, watch out and in a match race he's every chance to do so.

Harbor Blues vs Fly For Trix can go either way for mine, flip a coin, I just think Harbor Blues leads and skips away, Fly For Trix has been hard to figure out of late. The market will determine a lot here, I'd be happy to back what ever the rougher one is.

It's set to be great and the timer will get a workout, we are going to see some sizzling splits and overalls. I'm going the strongest dog in the end to take home the chocolates with his last section magic.

Good luck to all connections, this will be good! Finals numbers – 8-5-2-4

Easter cup (Race 6)

Selections -     6 Mallee Magic

                        7 Weblec Star

                        2 Lashes Monelli

                        5 Sutton Sandy

Mallee Magic was super last week in his heat and has returned from a spell nicely, showed no signs of being underdone to the step up in distance and I ain't worried about 2nd up syndrome. He should be burning to the front at the post on lap one getting a great cart into the race from the #5 Sutton Sandy who is the blow out chance if she gets the soft lead. Weblec Star has taken to distance racing perfectly, will also get a good cart into the race but will need to avoid some traffic on the first turn. Lashes Monelli will have to dodge Victa Reid in #1 who will jump ok and scout wide, if she does so, she will be finishing as good as anything the last 100m and is returning from a good deal of time off well, getting better with each run. Looking forward to seeing this price market.

Again good luck to all runners, greyhounds and their connections. The first 100m will be telling.
