Todd Gray's Mid-Year Report

Here we are, at it again, legends.

We are at the halfway point of the year from the tipping/punting side of things on the old GRSA twitter page. We've been up and down like the most yo-iest of yo-yos.

As always, my goal for each of the near nine I've been tipping for is to make 5% ROI (return on investment). This was on track for 2022 until June, going from 4.4% ROI to where we are now - just over 1% in profit. I know it's still a plus, but not a plus I'm proud about or want to finish on.

So, I've dusted myself off, had a long look in the mirror, put on Eye of the Tiger to pump myself up ready for a big second half of the year.

With that said, there has been some great highlights. Our biggest result of the year being Air Grace, trained by the master Ray Murray at Gawler in late April, winning and landing a decent plunge being almost $4 into $1.70 on the fixed. Number two for the year was Bad Lieutenant right at the start of the year at $6.

As for most popular dogs it would be close to a tie, as last year’s MVP Sutton Sandy, the little girl with a big heart still has a loyal and growing fan base. She’s still delivering the goods, being one of our most tipped runners along with the podium master that is Daniel Sun who's a regular mention and 4th member of the SEN podcast team on Monday nights.

Result wise, I'm not too pleased with my efforts, as I always take 110% responsibility, as I should, never the dogs or connections - I'll carry the weight. But in saying that, it's been great to see the page grow to almost 3300 followers and clock up over 30000 tweets. I'm truly grateful to have the support and banter with the vast majority of racing fans, punters, connections and enthusiasts.

The multiple radio segments on 5AA and SEN are as strong as ever and the SEN podcasts are some of the best banter going. The staking plan remains in place which I find a great confidence guide, as well as small additions like polls and learning lingo still going strong.

Plenty of people to thank like THE MAN FROM THE MOUNT giving his thoughts on the MTG meetings. Thanks to all those who contribute weekly articles, videos and content. As well as those behind the camera and in the office.

I appreciate you all, you're all legends and let’s make the 2nd half of 2022 a brilliant one. Alright everyone, hands in and go on 3.

1....2.....3. GO TEAM!

Giddy up!
