Todd Gray Previews Razldazl Launching Pad Heats
Wednesday at Angle Park we see the first running of the RAZLDAZL Launching Pad series bringing together three nice heats with the top 2 from each heat and the two fastest thirds qualifying for the final next Thursday night.
Race 5 (Heat 1) – 12.58pm
This heat is full of pace with Oz Dazzler and Pawesome Gold Drawn inside boxes. They will fight over the early lead leaving the race open for strong last sections dogs. Times Due has put together 2 nice wins since coming here and if it can lobb behind these leaders should be to strong. Scottish Thistle is boxed awkwardly which may prove her undoing but she has ability. There are 3 new dogs here, Footluce Dancer, Tribal One and Magenta Moon all new to the track, you will need to keep a close eye on the totes to see who’s most fancied.
Selections 6-8-3-1
Race 6 (Heat 2) – 1.16pm
Jo See Kahn was a very, very nice run last start and can do it at both ends, leads or comes from behind, but will need to avoid the wide running Red Can on the first turn who will run home hard. Aussie Noorumba has a lot of potential but has been unlucky in recent starts and still learning her way around the track. Low Tide and Smooth Destiny will be your early speed and Lord Vader is a run on hope. Thyme To Rock is a visitor from across the border trained by Captain Abbott who has run quick time at Mt Gambier.
Selections 7-2-1-4
Race 7 (Heat 3) – 1.32pm
Grande To Excel will be hard to beat here, not much pace in the race and should be leading. Master Bekim is the strongest run home in the race but drawn badly in box 1 and will have a lot of traffic to deal with. Nikita Kahn and Warrior Of Oz also have good early dash. This field looks too tough for the outside boxes where Miss Footluce and Wayne’s Error have drawn.
Selections 2-6-1-4
