Thursday Preview - Murray Bridge - 1st July 2021
By The Shadow
Tonight, here at Murray Bridge we have a strong 11 event programme over the four distances, as we kick start another month, we must get on the front foot early and back a couple of winners. As always, all races are Trifecta and First Four events.
Race 1 - The Chegia kennel can have another terrific night here at the Bridge and they can win the opening event with Terrific Keith, he has won his last four and he should lead and win again. Northern Zone along with Rhyme Nor Reason for the placings. Box Up 1.2.4.8
Race 2 - This is a wide-open affair so there will be some value in this, Lektra Hybrid wasn’t that far away on debut so he should be the improver. Adios McLaren can be hit and miss but has the right draw. Little Genius for the Trifecta. Box up 1.2.8.7
Race 3 - Lektra Boogie flashed home late to win here Monday night from box 8 he can make it two on end after that effort. Occipital Eyes can improve from the good draw he has early pace and is amongst the better chances. Box Up 1.2.4.7
Race 4 - Bailey Rocks led them a merry dance here over this trip last Thursday from this draw and she can do the same thing again tonight in similar company. Oakvale Blue is better than his past two suggests and can handle the wide draw. Running Gear can be hit and miss but his past efforts here have been particularly good. Box Up 1.2.5.7
Race 5 - One of the better bets of the night is Departure Gate, he has won his past two including a nice effort here Monday in 29.99 he is boxed for a bold showing again. Rock It Barcia found a heap of trouble here last start she can bounce back from that and is the improver. Add Oakvale Impact for the Trifecta. Box Up 2.4.6.8
Race 6 - Stress The Point and Vintage Girl both are in form and look amongst the top hopes including Colden Express. Box up 1.6.7.8
Race 7 - Meet Joe Black gets his chance to bounce back into the winner’s circle tonight, he has a good turn of pace and can hopefully clear them from box 5. Sweet Rose she was a last start winner at Gawler over the 643 she has won here in the past and is amongst the better hopes, add in the well-drawn Sentinel McLaren for the minors. Box Up 1.4.5.7
Race 8 - The Ossie Chegia kennel have a big chance with Fantastic Shell in this, she found trouble in the run here last start after showing early pace she can bounce straight to the front and collect the bickies in this. Undercut has shown improvement in recent weeks and looks the danger. Alfieri can run into the placings again. Box Up 2.5.6.8
Race 9 - This is over the 680m and we can’t go past Fantastic Radley, he has dominated since arriving here in SA and should win again at very skinny odds. New Years Tears and McLaren Dazzler for the minors. 5.7.1.3 in order.
Race 10 - Power Burner has been racing well of late and can handle the wide draw tonight he should go very close on his past efforts. Oakvale Thrill should start the punters elect she has been winning at Gawler over the short and is boxed for a forward showing. Allinga Mal has been in the money at his last three. Box Up 1.4.6.8
Race 11 - Cold Esky can send us home on a winning note, he won three on the trot here then was a handy 3rd last week after missing the start. Springvale Slick goes well from wide draws and is the main danger. Put Crawl and Safe Drop in for the First Four. Box Up 4.5.7.8
