TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow

Tonight’s 11 event programme looks a good even spread across all races and in several events there looks to be multiple chances.  So the punters who like to have a crack at the trifectas get a chance for a handy result.

Let’s kick off in race 1 and the two main chances look to be Sneaky Spirit for Donald Turner and Victa Brooke for Ron Schadow.  Both are well drawn and will be the ones to beat.  Add in Young Snozz who fell here last week and that for mine appears to be the top 3.  The “Snozz” has been knocking on the door until the spill here last start and is more than capable when on song.

On to the 2nd event and the youngster, Dustnado looks hard to beat here.  He  has only hand 4 career runs for 2 wins and a couple of placing’s.  The draw of 8 is a bonus and the son of Vapour Whirl can lead and win and the 30 second barrier won’t be a problem.  The main dangers look to be Contrarian for Karen Bearpark who can be hit and miss on box rise, but will be right in the finish.  For those trifecta punters add in Yasi Girl from the red who has a good turn of early foot and is more than capable of surprising.

Russian Fighter who made his debut here last start and carved out a handy 30.04 run should only improve in Race 3.  He is in the powerful Petar Jovanovic kennel and the draw of 3 won’t hinder him and he looks the winner.  Add in Allen Hugh, Speed Chick and Crumbs for value to jag the trifecta.

Race’s 4 and 5 are very even and the numbers to box up are 2-3-5-7 and 1-2-5-7.

The Troy Murray kennel is on fire of late especially in day meetings.  Emerley Lover in Race 6 was only beaten a half a length here behind Fire Tyson last Thursday in a BON 29.84.  The Nitro Burst/Emerley Shine sprinter can ping the lids and lead throughout.  The main danger is Carlos Tyson and Emerley Wizard.

Race 7 is the FFA and the Tony Lagana Fire Tyson is on fire, ‘pardon the pun’.  He has a good turn of early foot and has broken 30 here in his past couple and appears one of the best bets on the programme.  The main dangers are the pacey Kalden Komoto and the versatile Cousin Callum who will be rattling home.  Add in Hopes Up for the pick 4.

The last 4 races are all pretty even with the best of them being in race 10.  The Colin Swain chaser Senni Tony who is boxed to salute.  The other 7 runners can all fill the placing’s but I lean towards 1-6-8 to fill the minors.
