Temporary Changes to Feature Event Allocations

GRSA recently announced changes to participant returns in response to the unprecedented challenges facing the industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of the timely and necessary restrictions being implemented by federal and state governments, the revenue model for racing in South Australia is being negatively impacted by those changes, which now requires an appropriate response from the business.

Further to the announcement last week in which changes to base stake levels were advised, please find below changes (or otherwise) to the GRSA feature event schedule over the coming months.

It should be noted that the changes referred to in this release are not designed to be ongoing indefinitely.  At a time when GRSA management feels it is prudent and responsible to do so, stakemoney levels for feature events will revert back to levels which are generally consistent with the framework that was in place prior to the recent COVID-19 restrictions.

In noting that these are unprecedented times, GRSA remains committed to making the difficult decisions that are necessary to protect the future of the sport in this state.  The approach that it is taking now will equip it to deal with any adversity that it may encounter in the weeks and months ahead and into the future.
