STEWARDS NOTICE - Change to trialling policy for greyhounds unraced for more than six (6) months

GRSA Stewards have recently undertaken a benchmarking exercise with other states around field sizes for greyhounds looking to return to racing after not competing for more than six (6) months.

The Stewards view is the spirit of the rule about unraced greyhound for more than six (6) months is to ensure the greyhound is fit to race.

In an effort to assist participants, the GRSA Trial Policy will be amended, to allow greyhounds which have not raced for more than six (6) months to be able to complete a satisfactory trial as a solo trial.

This change will take effect as of 1 June 2018.

The provisions of GAR72 and GAR77A still apply.
