Greyhound Racing SA has introduced a number of social distancing rules at all tracks for racing and trials to ensure all safety precautions are taken for participants and staff.

The social distancing restrictions are as follows:

·        DIstancing of 1.5m must be adhered to at all times when at race tracks which includes in venues, the kennel house, parade area, walking to the boxes, behind the boxes and catching pen

·        Kennelling time will be extended for all meets to 1 hour and 15 minutes to spread the arrival time of trainers

·        Staggering admission of licenced participants into the kennel house in line with public spacing rules

·        All participants and staff entering race tracks must complete an infection disease declaration

·        Restrictions on the number of people in enclosed areas in line with social distancing recommendations

·        Alternative boxing - boxes 1 & 5; boxes 3 & 7; boxes 2 & 6; then boxes 4 & 8

As always, GRSA continues to be guided by state and federal governments on the matter, ensuring that the health and wellbeing of all participants, staff and dogs are its #1 priority.

We urge our industry to continue do the right thing by your family and industry – if you feel unwell or have a temperature please do not come to the track and contact a doctor immediately. Visit SA Health to stay across any updates.
