Former Tara Raceway record holder Brazen Bomber and Lots Of Yap, winner of the 2015 Mount Gambier Cup, recently whelped their second litters for Laharum breeder Jeff Guy and Ben Boers of Portland.

A daughter of Big Daddy Cool and the prolific producer Scrappy Coco, Brazen Bomber’s first litter is by Kinloch Brae while her recent litter of six is by Feral Franky.

Brazen Bomber was actually part of a remarkable seven days of racing at Tara Raceway back in June 2017 when her litter brother Paraphernalia broke his own 600 metres record with a time of 34.97 seconds.

Three races later Brazen Bomber gained a start as a reserve and gave Guy his second track record of the day when running 29.55 seconds for the 512 metres journey.

However, a week later, the Guy-trained greyhounds lost both their records in the space of a half hour to the Peter Franklin trained pair of McIvor Verna (600 m – 34.84 seconds) and Mojito Mayhem (512 m – 29.52 seconds).

Lots Of Yap, a daughter of Premier Fantasy and Have A Yap, won her cup after gaining a start as a reserve. Her first litter, which has won 35 races, is by Nitro Burst and her second (two dogs, two bitches) by Glen Gallon.

Meanwhile, recent cup-winning trainer Deb Coleman, of Lara, was back among the winners last Sunday night at Nowra with Eternal Ten who scored an 8¾ lengths win in the Ladbrokes Monthly Maiden Final (365 metres) in 20.61 seconds.

Raced by Tim Aloisi and Matt Lehman, Eternal Ten is by Fernando Bale out of Panda Bale, the litter being whelped and reared at Allendale East by David Peckham of Bourne Kennels.

Coleman’s partner, Rob Camilleri, was successful later in the night with rising five-year-old Slingshot Hammer who scored an easy win in the Ladbrokes Masters (365 m).

Slingshot Hammer, who was narrowly beaten by Galactic Athena in the 2019 Mount Gambier Cup, has now raced on 98 occasions for 36 wins and more than $230,000 in stakemoney.
