SA Sprint Postponed to Next Week

SA SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP POSTPONED UNTIL NEXT THURSDAY NIGHT

After heavy rain, wind and lightning whipped through Angle Park tonight the last six races on tonight’s card of racing were not conducted due to the state of the track.

 

Tonight’s feature event the SA Sprint Championship Final was one of those races affected. GRSA has postponed the SA Sprint Championship Final after consultation with the trainers to next Thursday night 26th January. The race will be the same field and box draw.

 

Also programmed tonight were the John Gray Grade 5 heats with three of those heats conducted prior to the storm resulting the two final heats not being conducted. Acting under the National Rules the Stewards did a public ballot for the remaining spots in the final. Below is the qualifiers through the heats that were conducted and those that were drawn by public ballot including reserves for next weeks final–

The Box Draw for the John Gray Grade 5 Final will be conducted on Monday using the normal computerised process.
