Trainer Nicole Price enjoyed an excellent day out at the Gawler circuit on Friday with an impressive training performance seeing her collect three winners over three different distances.

Zipping Highland kicked things off for Price, opening the 12-race program with a brilliant win over the 643m trip. Jumping from box two, it was able to find the early lead with a 9.15 first split and holding out the favourite Downed By Law to the rail.

Once Zipping Highland found the rail, it enjoyed clear running out in front and winning convincingly by seven lengths in a quick time of 37.22. It was a first win in its last nine starts for Zipping Highland and now has sux wins from 37 career starts.

Spontaneous made it two winners for Price, breaking through for its maiden victory in its second career start over the 400m journey. Despite being only fair away from a box eight draw,  it was able to get clear running out wide and find the lead and pull away to win by three and a half lengths in 23.07.

Pink Confetti completed the treble with a nice win from box three over the 531m trip after finding the early lead.  With trouble behind on the first turn, Pink Confetti had a break on the field and although Bazinga Ava closed late it was able to hang on and win by a length in 30.94 and cap a big day for the Price team.

Also on Friday, two heats of the Country Cup were run with the winners heading to the Country Cup final on Adelaide Cup night at Angle Park on the 6th of October.

The first heat saw the Ben Rawlings-trained Doonan produce a best of the day time of 30.60 to overcome a tricky box five draw and win its heat.

Spearing to the front with a quick first split to the post, Doonan was able to find the lead and power away down the back winning by four and a half lengths.

It capped a nice day for Rawlings who recorded a double with impressive youngster Ferocious Ivy winning its second race from three stars in a quick time of 22.68.

The second Country Cup heat was taken out by Universal Value for trainer Mike Wittholz who worked its way through the field down the back straight before finding the lead near the home turn.

While it had a winning break on the home straight, Universal Value had to hold off the fast-finishing Max Rocha to win by half a length in 30.74.

Both Universal Value and Doonan will now represent Gawler at the Country Cup final at Angle Park on Adelaide Cup Night where they will take on representatives from Mount Gambier and Murray Bridge clubs in the final.

Emerley Apollo for trainer Jack Williams continued its recent love affair with the Gawler track, making it four wins from its last six starts with an impressive performance in the grade 2/3/4 race over the 400m.

Taking on in-form short course star Cash On Delivery, Emerley Apollo was apart of a good early go for the lead and was eventually able to break clear  before winning by a length from Magic Poppet in 22.52.
