Saturdays Port Augusta Cup final was redrawn today when Silver Timothy’s trainer Tony Hinrichsen contacted GRSA querying why his greyhound was left out of the feature final. Silver Timothy had run third in his heat on 15th June qualifying for the Cup final however was a late scratching from Murray Bridge on 23rd June for injury receiving a 10 day penalty making him ineligible for the Cup final. The fields were drawn this afternoon based on the greyhound being ineligible. Tony Hinrichsen advised he had Silver Timothy re-vetted at Angle Park last night (25th June) making the greyhound eligible for the Cup final. As this was the case, the penalty was varied meaning Silver Timothy was eligible for the Cup final as he had qualified through the heats.

With Silver Timothy going back into the Port Augusta Cup final, Phil’s Green for Clint Trengove is now the 1st reserve with Valide for Michael Stewart 2nd reserve. Due to the redrawing of the Cup final the Cup consolation has also been redrawn due Phil’s Green being reserve for the final and now being included in the Cup consolation.

The updated fields should be available on the GRSA website.
