Notice of Meeting for Murray Bridge GRC
A General Meeting has been requisitioned by members for the following purposes:
- To appoint a new Committee of the MBGRC; and
- To amend clause 11.4.1 of the Constitution (Rules):
- FROM: a quorum being a majority of all members;
- TO: a quorum being 5 members (personally present or by proxy).
In accordance with clause 12, a Special General Meeting must be convened within one month of the members’ requisition for such meeting. Further information is provided in relation to that meeting.

Clause 11.4.1 of the Constitution (Rules) requires that a majority of all members must be present or in proxy at a General Meeting before business can be transacted. This clause (which is the subject of a proposed change at Item 2) is an impractical hurdle for a meeting of members. This notice of meeting includes two different dates, one being 7 days after the other.
# Please DO NOT attend the meeting on 16th December 2020. This meeting will not be able to satisfy the quorum requirements in order to proceed.
& Please DO attend the meeting on 23rd December 2020. A reduced requirement for a quorum will allow this meeting to proceed.
