It’s no secret that Lewiston trainer Nicole Price has a tremendous strike rate at the Gawler Greyhound Track. That continued this week with four winners from the five runners she had engaged in the race meeting on Wednesday afternoon and Sunday night. Her first winner came on Wednesday afternoon in the first race when Velocity Dahlia led all of the way to score her first ever career win. Wednesday was only Velocity Dahlia’s second career start. She ran second on debut the week prior. On Wednesday she showed very strong speed from box two and broke her maiden in a very commanding style running a time of 23.41. Later on in the day Nicole struck again in race three with Stress The Point running a time of 22.81 over 400 meters.

Nicole’s strong form continued on to Sunday night when she scored another double. Stress The Point made it three wins in the space of one week with a very impressive performance over 531 meters this time. He bounced to the lead from box seven and he ran an extremely strong first sectional of 3.14. He led all of the way from box seven and ran a time of 31.07 defeating the race favourite She’s A Hotshot. Stress The Point returned from a six week spell a few weeks back and has come back in career best form for Nicole’s kennel. He has always shown patches of his true ability but over the last week he has really shown his ability consistently. Nicole wrapped up her night when she took out race seven with Spring Bonnie. She ran a strong time of 23.02 over 400 meters to secure her fifth career win from sixteen starts.
