race in all circumstances. Nominations must be lodged with the Club/Authority conducting the
qualifying races in accordance with normal nomination procedures.
iii. Nominations must comply with the Rules of Racing that apply within the relevant jurisdiction.
iv. A greyhound is eligible to be nominated for a qualifying race in a state or territory if it has

any other state or territory or jurisdiction.
v. For the purposes of clauses 2(iv), 2(vi) and 2(vii), a greyhound shall be deemed to be domiciled
in a particular State or Territory or jurisdiction commencing on the date on which the change of
kennel notification form (or equivalent evidence produced) is received by the approved
registration authority in that State or Territory or jurisdiction up to but excluding the date upon
which that form is subsequently received by the approved registration authority of another
State or Territory or jurisdiction.
vi. If a greyhound is not domiciled in any State or Territory or jurisdiction for a period of at least

greyhound cannot ever have been trained or raced in any location other than the state or
territory or jurisdiction in which it has been nominated.

race, the club conducting the qualifying race is not obliged to accept a nomination for the
greyhound to compete in the qualifying race.
ix. It is the responsibility of the owner/trainer to ensure eligibility of the greyhound to compete
in the National Straight Track Championships. Nominations must be made before the normal

1. Where a dead heat is adjudged in a heat and as a result provides a number in excess of eight and
two reserves for the final, the determination shall be made first on the basis of finishing order, and

that qualifies faster shall be considered ahead of the slower greyhound/s.
7. SELECTION OF QUALIFIER
If a No Race is declared for a race in which state representation is determined, that state will select a

publishing the draw.
