MOUNT GAMBIER SUNDAY CANCELLED DUE TO SA – VIC BORDER CLOSURE
Due to the updated announcement by the SA Government overnight to close the SA Border with Victoria due to the recent Covid outbreak in that state, GRSA has no option but to cancel tomorrows Mount Gambier meeting (Sunday 30th May).
With a significant number of Victorian trainers engaged at the meeting unable to attend due to border restrictions dramatically affecting the size of our fields and the Clubs vet unable to attend GRSA’s only ption is to cancel.
GRSA thanks the support of those set to attend tomorrow’s meeting and apologise for cancelling however this is something out of our control.
The next meeting for Mount Gambier is scheduled for Thursday 3rd June and it is likely the Border may still be closed so the Club would hope for the support of the SA trainers from the South East and Metro area to ensure they have sufficient nominations to conduct a meeting. Nominations for this meeting close at 9am on Monday 31st May however GRSA will monitor the situation and update the industry if there are any changes.
