Media Release - Gawler Race 10 - 12.11.17
An incident occurred in Race 10 at Gawler last night wherein a low-flying duck collided with a runner in the race – Loceryl, for trainer Rebecca McAuley-Fry – as the field approached the home turn.
Neither the dog nor the duck were injured as a result of the collision. The stewards’ panel at the meeting made the decision to announce All Clear on the event after considering the circumstances of the race.
The Integrity Manager has advised that it is GRSA’s intention to undertake a thorough review of the matter.
