JONES DOMINATES AT MOUNT GAMBIER
The saying “keeping up with the Jones’” was never truer at today’s Mt Gambier meeting where the husband and wife combination of David and Toni Jones won 5 of the 10 races on the card.
Incredibly they only had runners in 6 of the 10 races on offer so to have 5 winners was an amazing result for the Devon Meadows couple.
David had two winners with Noisemaker in race 1 with kennel mate Black As Night running second and Blitzem Miss in race 2 with Toni winning three races with Our Blue Earner in race 3, Twistex in race 5 and Fred Best in race 6. Unfortunately for the camp David Best couldn’t get the money in race 7 finishing out of the placing’s but no doubt it was a day to remember for the Jones’.
David and Toni have been great supporters of the Mount Gambier Greyhound Racing Club regularly crossing the border to compete at the South East venue. With the increased prizemoney on offer for the new season it seems a guarantee that “keeping up with the Jones’” will be a regular occurrence.
