In what was one of the most even State Sprint finals in recent years, class prevailed as reigning SA Greyhound of the Year, Hope’s Up, for Cameron Butcher booked her spot on the National stage. Hope’s Up made it five wins on end when she dominated her opposition in a brilliant display of front running chasing. She sizzled out of box 6 to lead clearly out of the front straight running her first section in a blistering 4.37 with the improved Ali The Great for Ben Rawlings giving chase. Hope’s Up railed hard whilst on the bunny and never really looked like losing going on to record an outstanding victory in a brilliant 29.77 for the 515m journey. She defeated Ali The Great by 3½ lengths who stuck to his guns nicely with Kalden Kurageous running another handy race for Troy Murray a further ¾ lengths away in third.

Hope’s Up has now won 38 races from her 71 starts which include 20 placings and earnings just over $80,000. She won last years Group 3 SA Oaks and now has her sights set on more Group race glory in Melbourne.
