It has been advised by the SA Government that the borders will open on Tuesday 23rd November to Victorian’s under some criteria. Whilst not clearly defined as yet there may still be some restriction on movements into SA regarding being double vaccinated and isolating until a negative Covid test. GRSA will know more closer to Tuesday however this would have some impact on race meetings being drawn next week for Mt Gambier.

To provide certainty to participants and in consultation with the Mt Gambier GRC, GRSA will close the nominations for Mt Gambier’s Thursday meeting, 25th November at 9am on Monday 22nd November as normal. GRSA will not make any changes to the current nomination acceptance in that only Cross Border members with an exemption from the SA Government will be accepted for this meeting.

In regard to the Mt Gambier meeting on Sunday 28th November these nominations would normally close on Tuesday 23rd November however with the borders being open and the SA Government criteria more defined, GRSA will leave these nominations open until 9am on Wednesday 24th November to see if the opportunity exists for nominations to be accepted from all of Victorian trainers for this meeting.

We will continue to update participants as more detail is known in the coming days.
