FUTURE SKY RACING SCHEDULE

Over the past six months, Greyhound Racing South Australia (GRSA) has sought feedback from the industry in regards to the future SKY racing schedule upon completion of the Murray Bridge project.

GRSA recognises the importance of having a racing and trialling schedule that gives trainers from all regions the optimal opportunity to participate, hence the length and breadth of the consultation that was undertaken throughout this process.

It  was assumed that any schedule put forward to the industry would cause some participants to feel that the allocation of race meetings does not meet their individual circumstances.  However, the final schedule simply aims to benefit the majority of South Australian participants.

One of the key pillars of the schedule is the positioning of the new Murray Bridge 1-turn track in a time-slot that is accessible to all participants. Racing on a Sunday twilight will give professional, semi-professional and hobbyists all the opportunity to race at GRSA’s newest venue and showcase our sport to a new community of patrons.

The success of this schedule will be monitored on an ongoing basis and GRSA always remains open to making changes if the allocation of race meetings does not meet the needs of South Australian participants.

GRSA would like to thank participants and Clubs for the feedback received throughout the consultation process.
