Election of one Greyhound Racing SA Board Director by Licenced Persons
Arrangements have been made for the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) to conduct the election of one person with experience in the greyhound racing industry (and who may be a licensed person) to be nominated and elected by Licenced persons to the Board of Directors of Greyhound Racing SA. The term of office for this position is 3 years. The appointment will not take effect unless and until the Independent Gambling Authority and the Office of the Liquor and Gambling Commissioner have approved that person as suitable to hold such a position.
Written nominations which comply with the Greyhound Racing SA Ltd Constitution (available at www.grsa.com.au) open on Monday 11 August 2014 and must reach me no later than 10:00am on Friday, 29 August 2014. Nominations cannot be withdrawn after that time.
Nominations must be made on the prescribed form and signed by the candidate and one Licensed Person eligible to vote in the election. All eligible licensed persons as at 5pm Friday 8 August 2014 are eligible to vote in the election.
Candidates must, in support of their nomination, also provide a profile including details of Qualifications, Directorships, Memberships, Current Employment/Profession, Governance Experience/Training and not more than 200 words detailing Relevant Skills. Profiles must reach the AEC by the close of nominations and must not include information that may be misleading, inaccurate or defamatory to any other candidate.
