GRSA CHAIRMAN GRANTLEY STEVENS REAPPOINTED

Greyhound Racing SA (GRSA) is pleased to announce that its current Chairman, Grantley Stevens has been reappointed for a further three-year term.  After being appointed to the Board in the role of Director – experience in finance in 2013, Mr Stevens has since gone on to be elected to the role of Chairman from March 2018.

In the past year, under Mr Stevens’ stewardship, racing has commenced at the new $8.6 million Murray Bridge dual track facility, and the company has continued to build on the positive momentum of recent years.

“I’m proud of what our Board has been able to achieve in relation to its racing and welfare frameworks. Last financial year we again spent over $1.5 million on our Greyhound Adoption Program, which makes us a national leader in that regard,” Mr Stevens said.

“I am looking forward to an exciting period ahead for greyhound racing in South Australia. The sport in this state drives vital benefits back to the community and makes a critical contribution to the social fabric of the communities in which greyhound racing is conducted.”

The Board of GRSA comprises four independent Directors, recruited through an open public process undertaken through an independent recruitment consultant, and an industry elected Director.
