Gawler Track

On 30 July 2014 significant work was carried out on the Gawler track which resulted in 300 tonne of sand added and mixed into the existing surface.
 

The work was completed on Thursday 31 July 2014 and was inspected by GRSA stewards today.

 

Considering the amount of rain experienced Thursday and Friday morning, Stewards reported that the track was in very good condition.

Unfortunately due to other events around the venue over this weekend it is not possible to have any trials prior to the next race meeting which is scheduled for Tuesday 5 August 2014.

 

Therefore stewards will be rating the track as slow at scratching time, however due to the expected improvement in weather conditions we are of the opinion that this rating may only be temporary and could be possibly upgraded early in the meeting.
