GAWLER PRODUCE SEMI FINALS
TUESDAY 30TH JUNE
SEMI FINAL 1 – Race 7 1.54pm
The unlucky runner from last week was Lucy Fergo, she should have won her heat and still ran second after a luckless run. Long Gully Magic should be your early leader and was a nice gutsy effort railing up to take the lead down the back last week, of course if there’s any trouble Here Comes Henry will be you’re swooper. Some of his runs have been gigantic and his last section is second to none. Beau Mambo, I’m happy to risk in this semi, took full advantage of the small field last week and did win but the first section time will need to improve to have a hope here. Stack Em Fast will have to be a certainty when he gets back into a maiden, can show pace here but out of its element. A few wide runners here in Emerley Lane, Barleys Rhythm and Chatterbox Ella cant trouble the winning chances but could affect who that winner is on the first turn. Lucy Fergo should rail up chasing out after Long Gully Magic with Here comes Henry pouncing if he can avoid trouble.

SEMI FINAL 2 – Race 8 2.14pm
Wheel Spinner is the one to beat here but hasn’t been super impressive winning his last 2, but is much more capable of recording faster times. Callum’s Mum was a massive run in the heat last week, not in the picture frame going down the back and finished 3rd right behind the leaders, will improve now has seen the track but can’t bomb the start again in this calibre field. Mrs Bubbles is firing and doing everything right for its new trainer Matthew Payne and will have to contend with the bad draw. Long Gully Ben was disappointing in the heat but is much better than what he showed last week. Scottish Thistle was a very nice cheeky run behind Mrs Bubbles last start. Gelignite Jack will be storming home but may be too far back to trouble this lot and Trippin Trish & Aston Magic aren’t up to this class of field just yet in there careers. If Wheel Spinner leads its time and margins, if not then Mrs Bubble will most probably lead and Callum’s Mum could be the big improver.
