Gawler Lure Update
GAWLER LURE UPDATE
Over the past week, the GRSA Maintenance team has been required to undertake a major repair of the Gawler lure system. On Friday last week, a contractor undertaking some lure testing inadvertently damaged the system after the failure of some equipment. As a result, the meetings scheduled at Gawler on both Sunday and Tuesday were transferred to Angle Park.
The team has worked feverishly over the early part of this week and have completed repair works to the damaged system and a full working test of the system was completed this afternoon. Further testing will occur tomorrow and the Gawler meeting on Sunday continue as programmed.
It was a huge effort by the team to undertake these repairs, led by GRSA’s Head of Maintenance Terry Winder, who was ably assisted by Darren Pearce and Dale Gray.
