The Gawler Greyhound Racing Club (GGRC) in conjunction with Greyhound Racing SA (GRSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Shawn Noack as its new Club Manager.

Mr Noack, 42, lives in Gawler and has established strong community links through his association with the Gawler Golf Club, where he served as president for a three year period ending in 2013.

For the past seven years Mr Noack has operated his own business and brings with him a diverse range of skills relating to financial management, governance, stakeholder management and customer service.

GGRC president Mike Wittholz said the Club was excited by the prospect of having a permanent resource at the Club to enable growth and raise the profile of greyhound racing in the Gawler region.

“It is an extremely exciting time for the Club, with the redevelopment of the facilities expected to be completed in the coming weeks. The Club is confident that Shawn has the appropriate knowledge and experience to successfully manage and grow the business” Mr Wittholz said.

The position of Club Manager is a newly created position, which aims to develop patronage at the regular Tuesday and Sunday race meetings as well as attracting business outside of normal racing activity.

Mr Noack said he was excited about his appointment and the future prospects of the newly redeveloped facilities at the Club.
“I am greatly looking forward to the challenge of running the new facility and believe that it will act as a catalyst for the reinvigoration of the Gawler Showgrounds site in the longer term” Mr Noack said.

Mr Noack will commence his appointment on Monday 15th December, 2014.
