Gavin Bosch announced as acting CEO at GRSA
Further to the announcement last week of the pending departure of Matt Corby from the role of CEO with Greyhound Racing SA (GRSA), the Board is pleased to advise that our Chief Operating Officer, Gavin Bosch, will transition into the role of acting CEO pursuant to Mr Corby’s departure on Friday January 14.
Mr Bosch joined the organisation in October 2018 in the capacity of its Chief Financial Officer and has since progressed to the role of Chief Operating Officer, taking on direct reports from Racing and Hospitality in conjunction with that promotion. His experience prior to GRSA revolved primarily around senior finance roles in the Mining industry.
In identifying Mr Bosch as the logical choice to step up in the months immediately ahead, GRSA Chairman, Grantley Stevens, described Gavin as ‘an intelligent operator and one whose clarity and logic have underpinned much of the Board’s decision-making of recent years, including vital modelling of scenarios in the early stages of the current pandemic.’
An extensive recruitment process will commence in January with the aim of finding the most suitable candidate to take over the CEO role with GRSA on a permanent basis. Any supporting detail regarding the role and that process will be updated to the GRSA website at relevant times.
