Friday (One-Turn)

Racing returned to Murray Bridge on Friday with a fantastic 12-race daytime program around the one-turn track.

It was Cameron Butcher who continued his excellent recent run of form at The Bridge picking up a treble on the program which included a pair of nice winners who snapped their maidens in the opening two races on the card.

The first was Tilley Swamp who made its first start at The Bridge after a trio of nice runs at Angle Park over the 530m journey. Possessing terrific early speed and dropping back to the 395m trip, Tilley Swamp was able to jump to an early lead and was never troubled as she powered away to win by nearly six lengths in a time of 22.31.

A first starter was the next winner for Butcher, with Southern Sun also winning over the 395m with a nice performance from box four. Getting away only fairly, Southern Sun was able to rail through strongly around the turn and kick away before winning by two and a half lengths in 22.68.

Mulgundawa completed the treble for Butcher who went wire to wire over the 455m journey with a commanding six length victory in 25.17.

Also on the Friday card, trainer Rob Harnas nabbed a double with a couple of nice winners in the middle of the card.  The first was Victory Club who started as a short price favourite from box two over the 395m journey.

A fast 5.08 first split saw Victory Club take the lead powering through on the rail and pulling away to win by nearly seven lengths in 22.29.

Night Falcon made it two winners for Harnas in the next race, winning from box eight by one and a half lengths in 22.28.

The 11th race on the program saw the best time of the day over the 395m with the Lauren Harris trained Minter Redeem excelling in its first start in South Australia after crossing over from Victoria.

Jumping from box four, Minter Redeem was able to surge to the lead early and get a handy lead and held off Paramount State and Lochinvar Cahill down the straight in winning by a length and a half in 21.99.

Tuesday (Straight Track)

Michael Giniotis made a quick start to the 12-race program nabbing a double in the two maiden races which opened the card.

The first was Hero, who had his sixth career start on Tuesday and made light work of the field after pinging the lids and getting to an early lead before enjoying clear running to win by six lengths in 17.33.

Downtown Money made it a double for Giniotis, also winning a maiden from box four in race two breaking through for its first win in start nine after a string of minor placings in recent starts, stopping the clock in 17.12.
