South Australia’s chasing star, Ernie Bung Arrow, will be paraded at the 2013 Bunyip Gawler Gold Cup at the Gawler Greyhound Complex on Sunday 3rd of November. Ernie Bung Arrow has developed a cult following since his 2013 Triple M Adelaide Cup win. The win made him the first South Australian trained and bred greyhound to win the Group 1 race since Brookside Bear took home the cup in 2002.

Ernie Bung Arrow will, this Saturday night, contest the 2013 Topgun Invitational where he will be looking to take his career earnings to just a tick under $300,000. Not bad for a greyhound who struggled to find a home and eventually sold to trainer and part owner Ken Gill for just $800.

The Bunyip 2013 Gawler Gold Cup promises to be a greyhound race night like no other!  With entertainment from the band Lilly and the Drum, the lovely greyhound Hunnies, free rides and face painting for the kids and, of course, super- fast dog racing action.

The Bunyip 2013 Gawler Gold Cup – Sunday 3rd November, Gawler Showgrounds, Nixon Terrace.Entry’s just a gold coin donation with proceeds going to Oldwellian Bicycle Club who will be collecting for the Ride For a Reason program, with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council. Racing starts at 5:30pm. With the feature race set to jump at 7.30pm.

Only at the dogs!
