ERNIE BUNG ARROW RETURNS TO SA FOR SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP
In terrific news for all local greyhound followers star local chaser Ernie Bung Arrow will be back in his home state next week to compete in the listed SA Sprint Championship with heats at Angle Park on Thursday 9th January and the $22,000 final on Thursday 16th January.
He will be back in the care of Ken Gill for the series and will reunite the combination that has dominated the local scene for the last 6 months.
“Ernie” has been with Kel Greenough in Victoria for the last few weeks and has been trialing nicely at Sandown however with no feature races at that venue for a while it was a good opportunity for the Adelaide Cup winner to head home and chase another feature race win.
He arrives back in SA this weekend and should be ready to go for the heats next Thursday night. Trainer Ken Gill advised that Ernie will go back to Victoria after the series and is confident that his star chaser will be competitive in whatever he is entered in across the border.
