The venue at the Murray Bridge Greyhound Racing Club will be officially named 'Doyle's Function Centre' during a function on December 12th in recognition of Dr. Chris Doyle, GRSA's long-term veterinarian and former director.
Dr. Doyle was a strong advocate of incorporating a straight track into the design of the new Murray Bridge facility during his tenure on the GRSA Board with his view to create another safe racing opportunity for all greyhounds coming to fruition with the track now hosting weekly meetings as well as feature races including its participation in the National Straight Track Championship.
Due to the function taking place, space within the venue is more limited than usual. For those who haven’t been able to make a booking, extra seating will be provided outside as well as a takeaway menu, outdoor bar and the Murray Bridge CFS have also come on board to provide a BBQ to cater to those trackside.
