Avid Tyson Breaks 400m Track Record at Gawler
The dream run of the Tony Lagana kennel continued today when his flying sprinter Avid Tyson broke the 400m track record at Gawler when she won by over 9 lengths in a sizzling 22.44 defeating Pure Doll and Max I Am. She broke the previous track record by .01 held by Stomping Bear of 22.45 which was set on 15th May 2011. Two months ago Where's Pancho rac a flying 22.34 at Gawler however this was hand timed and could not be recognised as an offical track record. Friday, Avid Tyson flew the lids from box 4 running a sizzling lead time of 8.55 and opened up a lead of over 10 lengths leaving the back straight before going on to record an easy victory. She has taken a liking to the Gawler 400m distance, being beaten only once in 11 starts over the trip winning her last 9 in a row and now holds the title of track record holder.
