Another Win For Fire Tyson
Last night at Angle Park Fire Tyson for trainer Tony Lagana confirmed his position as the State’s best sprinter with a dominant display in the $5,000 St Patrick’s Day Sprint. Much better drawn in box 2 than in previous weeks the son of Emerley Carlos and Avid Willow jumped cleanly from the boxes to find the lead in a slick 4.47 and from there was never headed. He raced away from a high quality field winning by 3 ¼ lengths in a sizzling 29.79 defeating the Troy Murray pair of Kalden Komoto and Jet Blast who both ran home nicely into the minor money. Amazingly Fire Tyson only turned two last month and has now won 15 races from his 30 lifetime starts with prizemoney in excess of $56,000 and continues the golden run of Tony Lagana this season. Fire Tyson’s next mission looks to be the Group 3 $36,000 Anniversary Cup run at Angle Park on 4th & 11th April when he will again match motors with the best local sprinters and challengers from across the border.
