Angle Park Thursday Night Preview
Well it looks like another interesting night for punters with a mixture of distances. The highlight is the Shane McQueen 600m final which is race 8 on the programme. There is a very nice $6,120 to the winner on offer.
Race 1 is an interesting affair and there looks to be two main chances in Deadly Impact, from box 1 and the pacey Lango out in box 6. I have tipped the latter as he has a good turn of early pace and has won 3 of his last 5 starts. Deadly Impact is the obvious danger from box 1 along with Koubek, who will be rattling home over the last 100m. Add in Alessi Bale for the pick 4 punters.
The second event on the card looks pretty open. I have put Dyna Millier on top. If you look at her form she was slow out and didn’t beat a runner home here last start, So, why have I tipped her??? Her previous form was fair and she is well drawn. From The Top along with Allen Illem can run into the top 3.
Now Mad Monza in race 3 looks a good thing on paper. She has early pace and loves this draw. She was a smart 29.95 winner here last week and she should make it two on end. Miss Avocet will be right in the mix along with Velocity Kedar who is nicely drawn down in box 1. Aleta Allen can’t be left out for trifecta punters.
Race 4 and this looked like a dart job before todays scratchings!!!! I would put a dollar or two on the Karren Bearpark trained Sniper Skills. He is in form at Gawler and is well drawn. Box up 2-3-6 in this race.
Race 5 is the first of the 600m events and this appears another race in two. Kalden Kurageous for Troy Murray can bounce straight to the bunny from box 5 and would prove very hard to beat. Dyna Aline has broken the 35 barrier here in the past and is the obvious danger. Any of the other runners can fill the top 3.
Dee Dee Corsair led last week only to finish 2nd. That was his 1st run back from an interstate trip and he should lead and win. Jet Blast will be rattling home late and is always a chance. Nicholas Jack is another who is always thereabouts and is very strong box up 5-6-7-8.
Race 7 and the Jovanovic kennel has Young Snozz racing well. The easier races in SA have been helping the old fella. From box 3 he can be close early and will take a power of beating. Springvale Cool for Gavin Harris can run a cheeky race from box 2 and looks the likely leader. Linguist will be rattling home late, along with Mark Of Love.
The main race on the card is the 600m Shane McQueen final and Cousin Callum is boxed to win in the red.
Kennel mate Max A Zillion carved out a quick 35.04 here last week and can run a kennel quinella. Kalden Komoto is a class act when on song BUT tends to strike trouble at the wrong time. Value for punters is Curlwaa Hope who is very strong in the run home.
A small field for the 9th over 731m and it would be a very brave person to tip against Kalden Mayhem. Forget his last start 5th, he should be charging home and prove too smart. Miss Woods will lead and would only need an ounce of luck to pinch this, box up 1-2-5-7
If we aren’t winning by now we are in MAJOR trouble, race 10 box up
1-2-5-7 and race 11 box up 3-4-6-8.
Happy Punting!!!!
JOKE OF THE WEEK
There were 3 friends stranded in an island. Exploring the island, the 3 men found a bottle so they opened it. A genie came out, and she said that she would grant them 3 wishes. The first man said, "I wish I was with my family" then poof he was with his family. The second guy said "I wish I was in a bar with my friends" then poof he was gone. The third guy was feeling bad and the genie asked, "What's wrong?" The man said, I'm lonely I wish my friends were here. Poof, his two friends were back in the island.

TRACK RECORD AND FUTURE STARS FINAL AT GAWLER
It was Gawler’s turn today for a track record to fall after there were two recorded last month at Strathalbyn.
The Aart Verhoef trained Cash Or Credit made it back to back wins for the inform trainer over the 400m today at Gawler and along the way claimed the short course track record. Cash Or Credit ran a brilliant 22.34 after leading all of the way defeating Avid Tyson by 6 lengths. Interestingly it was Avid Tyson’s track record that he broke of 22.44 which was set in March of this year.
Fast times were the order of the day at Gawler with Emerley Lover for trainer Troy Murray taking out the Katakasi Veterinary Services Gawler Future Stars Final in a blistering 30.36 for the 531m journey after leading most of the way which was only .13 outside Regional Image’s track record which was set 10 years ago. This was followed in the very next race by reigning SA Greyhound of the Year Hope’s Up for Cameron Butcher who lead all of the way in race 9 to record an even quicker 30.31. The fast times at Strathalbyn, Gawler and Angle Park could be partly attributed to recent track turnovers which seem to have generally improved greyhounds performances.
