TELLING THE TAIL

by The Shadow

If you followed our trainers to watch on the night here last week you should have finished well in front! Tonight the Ken Gill kennel team look to have several chances and can nearly win race 1 and 2 on the 11 event programme. The Murray kennel rarely goes home without a winner and we can’t leave the Bob Isaacson crew out of our Trifectas as he looks to have a couple of strong chances throughout the evening. Don’t forget, all races are trifectas and first 4 events so that’s where we can win some handy cash.

Race 1 and as mentioned above we will go with the Ken Gill trained Long Gully Gilly, he has been racing well over the longer trips of late and will be flying home over the top of them. Regal Looper is knocking on the door and the pacey Danyo’s Tom who is in outstanding form looks to be the early leader. Box Up 1.2.3.5.

Race 2 - this is a very good betting affair but we will stick with the Gill kennel again as he has Windmill Haze flying of late with 3 wins on the trot at this venue. Farmin can be hit and miss but is a must for the first 4. Add in Loceryl from his inside draw. Box Up 1.2.4.6.

Race 3 - Tough affair and when in doubt go for the box draw so we will have a little wager on the well named Cash For Jam , he has been racing well of late and should be on the pace early. Cyril Beast has early dash and should be right in the mix. Box Up 1.2.4.7.

Race 4 - The distance affair and Bogie Bekim was beaten a nostril here last week and will be very hard to beat on that effort. Jed Monelli can pinch a place again and we can’t leave out the pacey Springvale Bryne who is the likely improver.  Box Up 1.4.6.8.

Race 5 - Funky Monkey made good ground here last start from this draw and looks one of the main chances again. My Boy Tyler loves the inside running and has the pace to kick up and run a cheeky race, add in Ten Pin Cam for the trifecta. Box Up 2.3.6.8.

Race 6 - I like one here at good odds in Columbian Flame, she showed a glimpse of her best when 2nd here last start in quick time and from the draw she will be very hard to beat. Dixie Anne looks the likely leader out in box 7 and is a must for the pick 4 punters. Add in Bekalia’s Freak who will be charging home late. Box Up 1.2.3.7.

Race 7 - Long Gully Jonny looks one of the best bests of the night, Paula Hearnden has him flying of late and he loves the wide draws. Lizard Spock can be hit and miss on box rise but is worth putting in the multiples. Box Up 1.2.4.8.

Race 8 - this is the best race on the programme and like last week it looks a match race in 2 with On Fire and Aston Kody. We went with the later last week and collected the bickies as he is the better beginner of the 2 tonight why change, we will stick with the Murray camp again but we will have our hearts in our mouth as On Fire will be charging home. Add in Ruff State and Egyptian Diva for the minors. Box Up 1.2.3.7.

Race 9 - Winning form is good form so we will stick with What’s Up Herbie, he has won 2 of his past 3 here in good fashion and his early pace will be a bonus with moderate beginners on his inside. Cyclone Clifford is always a chance and will be doing his best work late. Box Up 1.4.6.8.

Race 10 and this is a wide open affair and there looks to be at least 4 main chances, I will go with Roxy Rolla from the rails draw for the Michael Giniotis kennel. She should find herself up there early in the run, Stack The Aces has been missing the start of late but has filled a place in 3 of his last 4 runs and add in Allen Santo at good odds for the pick 4. Box Up 1.2.3.5

Race 11 - The Lauren Harris trained Dorsal is boxed to send us home on a winning note he is very capable when out in front and looks a good thing in this. Demon Premier has been mixing his form and tends to find a lot of trouble in his races but is worth putting in the pick 4. Box Up 1.3.7.8
