Angle Park Racing Preview - 22.9.16
by The Shadow
Tonight it looks to be a solid 11 event programme which we should be able to snare a few winners at handy odds. Race 5 we see Worm Burner and Marlow Brown go head to head again in a very smart FFA event. These runners will be having their last hit out before next week’s Adelaide Cup series, don’t forget all races are Trifecta and First 4 events and that’s where we can cash in.
Race 1 - Fabregal should kick us off to a good start from box 7, she was a strong 3rd in the Oaks final here at her latest effort. Rockstar Lisa is well drawn down on the fence as is Rhynstone Jetta, they appear the main three. Box Up 2.3.4.7
Race 2 - Sheez Stunning is well drawn out in the 7 and should prove too strong in the run home. Add in Sparkling Red who has been in the money at his last 4 starts along with Hy Guard who will be running on late. Box Up 1.2.3.7
Race 3 - This is a strong 600m event with Springvale Bryne out in box 8. The Gavin Harris versatile chaser should carve across and continue on her winning way. Sutton Steele is another who has early pace and the Modra kennel has him in terrific form so they look the quinella. Box Up 2.6.7.8
Race 4, With several chances in this it is a must for trifecta punters to have a crack here. Gun McBain returned to the winners circle here on Monday with a solid win so he is a must. Ultima Bale will be running on late, an eye catching run was Pelican Keeping here last start. Box Up 1.2.3.8
Race 5 - Worm Burner was checked out the back here last Thursday and flew home to finish 3rd behind the pacey Marlow Brown. He can bounce straight back into the winners circle from the draw. Marlow Brown has been knocking on the door in recent runs and he finally cracked it for a much deserved win, so they are the obvious two. Fusaichi Kahn loves a wide draw and will be right in the mix early. Box Up 2.3.4.7.
Race 6, This is a toughie?? Its Classified has returned from a Canberra trip and should start the punters elect from box 8, he is very smart when on song but has been hit and miss on box rise of late. Molly Be Nimble will find this a little easier than her past couple where she was in open company and finds herself right down in grade tonight. But I like Rockstar Swirl from box 5, she has early pace and is a chance of pinching this at EACHWAY ODDS. Box Up 1.2.5.8.
Race 7 - Ruff State was a big run here in last week’s Derby Final when a close up 3rd behind Weekend Binge in 29.98. He appears well suited in this and should take beating on recent efforts. Dyna Keitaro has struck form with 3 wins in his last 4 starts and is the big danger. Box Up 4.5.6.8.
Race 8 and this is a very smart 600m event, the two main chances are Caustic Bale and Eduardo. Both have different racing styles as ones a leader and the other will be running on. Venetian Mask can kick up early from her inside draw and loves this trip. Box Up 1.3.4.7.
Race 9 - With only 5 starters over the 731m Go You Girl should be on the pace early and prove the goods. She has been in the money in 13 of her 18 runs at this track and her last win was from this draw. Night Rhythm loves to fill a place and the small field is a bonus 1 from 4 & 6.
Race 10, tricky event as this is wide open, when in doubt go with the draw so Nissan Bale comes into calculations for the Rasmussen kennel. Splish Splashin’ has pace and is boxed for a bold showing, add in Bounce Pass for value. Box Up 1.2.5.6.
Race 11 and we have to wait for the final event for one of the better bets of the night with the Judi Hurley trained sprinter in Rattle Em, she was a last start winner here in 30.10 leading throughout so she is our top pick. Hotham Lad and Chappie Bale for the minors. Box Up 1.3.4.8
