TELLING THE TAIL

by The Shadow

Tonight’s racing certainly gives us a good chance to win some cash.  We have a terrific distance event which is race 3, add to that a very strong FFA in race 8 and we should see Cameron Butcher’s exciting sprinter Worm Burner continue on his winning streak.

Race 1, He has been knocking on the door of late and that is Fusaichi Kahn, his early pace will be a factor for mine so he is our top pick.  Lisheen is in terrific form as is Hesa Jayclo down in box 1.  Box Up 1.2.4.5

Race 2, June Sharpe has a handy one in Aston Ella who was a last start winner here from box 5 in good time.  She is well drawn again and should be able to kick up on the rails and run a very bold race.  Bangor Springs has been racing well on country tracks and has a good turn of early pace.  Box Up 2.3.4.5.

Race 3, This is the distance affair and it is very hard to go past the Gavin Harris pair in Springvale Bryne and Luna Jinx.  They should run the quinella again.  Seeking Justice and She’s A Looper for the First 4.  Box Up 1.2.3.4.

Race 4 and it is very hard to tip against Team Roper.  He is in outstanding form but will be a VERY short priced favourite so we will make him the stand out.  There are several who we can put in for the placings so we will go 6 from 2.3.7 Boxed.

Race 5, There is a lot of pace in this and the run to the 1st turn will be interesting.  I like one at odds who is well drawn and that is Flying Mal.  He can be hit and miss on box rise but appears a chance.  Molly Be Nimble has been in the money at 11 of her 13 over this trip at this venue so she will be right in the mix.  Box Up 1.3.5.8.

Race 6, we will venture out to Timmy’s Entity out in box 7.  He loves the wide draw and was a slick winner in 29.88 early in the month.  Electro Bale loves to fill a place as does Dana Jorja who will be running on. Box Up 1.2.5.7

Race 7, We must all be having a bet in this particular event as it’s a very wide open affair.  Temalor will be a big improver as will Wild Soul out in box 8.  Dyna Keitaro will be rattling home late and will be amongst them with early luck.  Box Up 2.4.7.8.

Race 8, How good are these credentials, 22 wins and 7 placings from 33 starts at this venue??? Yes that is Worm Burner.  He is in outstanding form and has picket fences beside his name.  He wins again for mine.  Wheel Spinner is in good form and is a must for trifecta punters.  Box Up 3 from 1.2.5.

Race 9, A very handy 600m affair where Mija Returns is well drawn down in box 1 and has a good turn of early pace to kick up and hold the lead.  Parsec Bale will be the one rattling home over the top.   Zana Bale has been mixing her form and is very smart on her night.  Box Up 1.2.5.7.

Race 10 and the two main chances look to be Rockstar Swirl and Winthrop Flyer.  Both have won here in their last three starts and are well drawn out wide.  Chappie Bale has been racing well in easier company.   Box Up 2.3.6.8.

Race 11 and the Wendy Matcott kennel should go home on a winning note with Iron Bale, he won here last start in 30.20 after being hampered early from box 5, he appears well drawn in this.  Falcon Ute can pinch a place along with Dyna Jumpy. Box Up 1.2.6.7.
