Angle Park Preview

Racing News

The major highlight of tonight’s racing is the quality line up in Race 8.  The Bargain Steel Centre SA Sprint Final looks to be a fantastic event as all major chances have drawn the wrong side of the track and it opens up the event and makes it a very good betting affair. The connections of the 8 runners have a more than handy cheque of $15,000 to the winner waiting if they are successful.

Race 1 and I am sticking with the inside brigade here.  Last start winner Alderley Reform appears a big chance from a nice draw in 3, he should be rattling home late and take holding out.  Blu Light Banjo is racing well and can never be left out along with the pacey Gun MacBain.  Box Up 1.2.3.4.

Race 2 and the two main chances look to be Galilee Spirit and last start winner Are Ate.  Whoever leads here should win so they must both be put in the Pick 4.  One at value, add Shilling Flex as the kennel is in fine form and she is well drawn.  Box Up 2.4.5.7.

Race 3 this is a wide open affair but I am going with winning form in Farhat Bale, he has won his last 3 here all in good fashion and with his early pace should prove very hard to beat again.  Regal Looper is a very strong type who will be flying home late but lacks pace early.  Box Up 3.4.5.7 in an interesting betting affair.

The fourth and the pacey Blurred Lines is drawn for a bold showing down in box 1.  He is no youngster but still is in fine form and will be the measuring stick for mine.  Ruff State is another with good box manners and will be in the firing line.  Box Up 1.2.3.8.

The fifth, this is a very open affair and has at least five chances who can win well.  I’m going with a value chance in Starling Bale out in box 6.  She can be hit and miss early but is ultra-consistent so she is a must for the Pick 4.  Getty Bale is well drawn along with Coolabah Jet.   Box Up 3.5.6.7.

Race 6 and looking for another value runner, we can go with Ifrit Bale from the Matcott kennel.  He won here Monday in 30.09 from box 1 and he can make it 2 in a row.  Wave To Kirra has pace and looks the likely leader and look for Dodger I Am late who will be flying home.  Box Up 1.2.3.8.

Race 7 and this is my roughie of the night and that is Zambora Magic out in box 8.  He was unlucky here last start after being checked in running from box 1 on resuming and looks an improver.  Add Wheel Spinner who will start the punters elect along with Oakvale Flyer.  Box Up 1.3.6.8.

Race 8 and this is the highlight of the programme, the Bargain Steel Centre SA sprint final and as mentioned before it is a quality line up of SA Greyhounds.   Who can win, well there looks to be four main hopes for mine and I am going with the Troy Murray trained Its Classified.  He was a huge run here last week from box 5 and is a big chance.

Mrs Bubbles is in fine form and has a good turn of early pace along with Liam’s Entity.  Both would prove very hard to beat if they are on song early.  Worm Burner is racing well and if he is close enough down the back would take a power of beating but is hit and miss on box rise.  Box Up 2.3.4.5.

Race 9, we have tipped him week after week as our value runner and the very start I gave up he led throughout and won!!!!  Black Bottle, well he is a chance again from box 1 so we won’t leave him out of the trifecta tonight.  Kennel mate Cyclone Clifford is my pick in this from box 6.  He is a last start winner over 600m and should prove hard to beat here.  Box Up 1.4.6.7.

The Distance affair is race 10 and she bounced back into the winners circle here last week and that is the Gavin Harris Luna Jinx.  She made hard work of it early and should only improve but will be very skinny odds so she is the stand out so we will go 2 from 4.1.7 for $1.00

Race 11 and let’s hope we are well in front and we can go home on a value runner in Fayette from box 3.  She has her paw on the till but needs to begin a little better than usual to kick up and hold a forward showing.  Rhynstone Jetta has been a runner up here at his last 3 runs.  Box Up 1.3.4.6

This starting time change will continue until the end of daylight saving in March 2016.

STRATHALBYN TO TRIAL MAIDEN/GRADE 6 OVER 536M

The Strathalbyn GRC will look to run mixed M/6 fields over the 536m. With the lack of 500m greyhounds this may provide an opportunity for both classes. Preference will still be for a Maiden event 536m however if required these could be mixed. Please make it clear on your nomination if you would like your Maiden greyhound mixed with a Grade 6 over 536m only.
