Angle Park Preview
What an unbelievable run we saw yesterday in the heat of the Brian Johnstone Memorial with the Kirin Corby flying machine Eduardo he began well in a small field from box 2 and NEVER looked like getting beat. He carved out a SENSATIONAL 29.20 and takes his record to 6 wins and 3 placings from just 13 career starts. If I’m not mistaken, he would be in the top 6 of the quickest dogs to grace the Angle Park loam over the 515 under race conditions.
Race 1 and we can kick off with an early winner in Aston Wingard. He is well suited out in box 8 and should be very hard to beat. The main dangers look to be Hakata Bale and the ultra-consistent Cyclone Clifford who got the bickies for us last week over the 600 Box Up 1.4.5.8.
Race 2 and the 2 main chances for mine are Wave To Kirra, who was checked from pillar to post here last week, and Long Gully Magic who loves a wide draw. We can add the speedy Kenny Flash for the trifecta Box Up 1.4.6.8
Race 3 and the inside 4 get the nod in a very open affair. They all have early pace and it will be a matter of luck with the run to the 1st turn but I will stick with last start winner Peejay Jack Box Up 1.2.3.4.
The 4th, and I will go with my old favourite in Genghis Kahn he will be rattling home. And if he can get a clear run early just go and line up to collect Yiche has a heap of pace early and is a must for the trifecta Box Up 2.3.5.8.
The 5th and the Gavin Harris kennel is on fire and Dashing Dee Dee can continue the kennels winning streak from box 1 Lektra Hawk can add some value for the pick 4 punters. Box Up 1.2.5.8.
Race 6 and this is a good even affair with several chances, I will go with Cash In Looper as he is in form without winning but is very strong. The other main chances are the pacey Almost Quoted and Excusez Moi Box Up 1.5.6.7.
Race 7 and the best part of this race will be as they head into the back straight. They will be all winding up into the back and they will be Mobius and Oakvale Flyer we can add Temalor who has won his past couple here Box Up 1.2.5.6.
The 8th and he is outstanding form of late and is in the powerful Petar Jovanovic kennel and that is Kiss The Hawk. The poor draw of 4 will give us a heap of value and we can only hope he gets a clean run early Blurred Lines is very pacey along with Gun MCbain Box Up 1.2.4.8
Race 9 and in a small field of 5 this will be an interesting affair. Here Comes Henry rattled home late to beat a similar field from this draw last start so he can go close again. Abbie’s Girl will be the pace setter and has won her past 2 over the 600 and is primed for this Box Up 1.4.6.8.
The 10th and veteran trainer Laurence Cahalan has a handy type in Angel Of Music she was an eye catching 2nd here, last start after leading in quick time and at her 3rd start here in South Australia can break through. Mighty Quoted has won from this draw early in the month and is a must for the top 3 Box Up 1.2.5.6
Race 11 and I like one at a bit of value in Princely Bogan he tends to find trouble in his races but from the draw can kick up and run a bold race. The favourite should be Yeardley who is very pacey Box Up 2.3.7.8

2015 DAISH IRRIGATION & FODDER STRATHALBYN CUP FINAL SUNDAY
After four fabulous heats last Sunday the $10,000 Daish Irrigation & Fodder Strathalbyn Cup Final this Sunday looks to be one of the highlights on the local racing calendar this season. The Club has drawn together an outstanding field for their main meeting of the year and a huge crowd is expected to attend the Southern Greyhound Raceway. The Strathalbyn gallops race during the day so with nice weather they will venture down for a night out at the dogs.
Last weeks heats were taken out by Rhynstone Jetta for Martin Doyle who made full use of the inside box to run a handy 32.09, Shilling Flex for Lisa Rasmussen who scored a mini boilover when she ran 32.00 defeating Regal Looper, Brett’s Magic for Ossie Chegia who continued his liking of the Strathalbyn track when he lead throughout to win in the quickest time of 31.74 and Wheel Spinner who railed hard for Brendan Gottschutzke in a solid 32.06.

ANNUAL GRADING REVIEW PANEL MINUTES
The minutes from the Grading Review Panel meeting which met a few weeks ago have been sent to the panel members for their approval. Shortly GRSA will notify participants of the meeting outcomes and time frames regarding implementation with the view that by 1st February 2016 any new grading rules will be implemented.
ICG MEETING ON FRIDAY 11TH DECEMBER 2015
The next Industry Consultative Group meeting will be held at Angle Park on Friday 11th December. This is a very important meeting held every 6 months with outcomes and recommendations being considered by the GRSA Board.
It would be appreciated if participants had topics for discussion that are specific to the Industry as a whole and are of a strategic nature that they contact myself by close of business Thursday 19th November so this may form part of the Agenda.
HOT WEATHER POLICY
A reminder to trainers with the hot weather coming to make sure they are aware of the updated conditions relating to the Hot Weather Policy. This policy is available on the GRSA website and also at the track.
QUALY TRIALS RETURN TO GAWLER WITH EMERLEY PARK BEING AVAILABLE
GRSA have completed a review of trial days at Gawler and have now implemented the following changes.
1. Commencement of Trials at Emerley Park on Monday’s as from 16 November 2015 between 8.30am and 10.00am
2. Cancellation of Trials at Gawler on Monday’s, last trial session 9 November 2015
3. Re introduction of a steward for Wednesday trial nights as from 18 November 2015
Emerley Park wish to advise participants that flexibility will be available for trainers for breaking in/education and trials. Furthermore as we move into the summer months starting times will be changed and advertised. Trials will be at a cost of $6.00 with use of the follow on or straight arm lures.
STRATHALBYN TRIALS
During the Southern GRC committee meeting last week the committee decided that due to lack of support and working commitments of staff who make trials possible, that as a club we can no longer offer Wednesday trials to participants effective immediately.
We understand the inconvenience that may arise to some regular trainers who attended and we wish to thank them for supporting this service we provided.
Trials will be now held every Friday when we are NOT racing on that Friday.
Qualifying trials to follow the week after first race meeting for the month.
We will allow for trials, following race meetings with a maximum of 8 (to be kennelled at kennelling time into race block 11.) These needs to be rang through to Tony Rasmussen or Renee Eastwood from the Club, (following eligibility guidelines agreed with Paul Marks)
