Angle Park Preview
Greyhound enthusiasts from around Australia will have their Sky channel set to 519 at 8.58pm Adelaide time to watch the exciting Fernando Bale grace the angle park loam and on recent form he will add to his string of wins and claim the 2015 Adelaide Cup Final. If he does he will add another $75,000 to his prizemoney and pass the 1 million dollars. We can’t overlook race 5, the Cup consolation which is another outstanding affair with a couple of smart ones that missed tonight’s main event. Good luck on the punt and it’s sure to be a terrific night of racing. So this sets up a terrific 11 race programme and there is sure to be a bumper crowd on a beautiful Friday night in Adelaide.
Race 1 and we can kick off with an early winner and build the bank with the pacey Valladares. He is back in grade tonight and from box 8 should take a power of beating crossing early to go on and win. The main dangers look to be Lochinvar Akira down on the rails along with Breaker Kahn. Box Up 1.5.7.8
The 2nd and we see the Angela Modra trained Abbie’s Girl in fine form and with 4 wins from her last 5 starts she is unbeaten here in South Australia all in slick times. She appears a stand out so we will go with 7 from 5.6.8 Boxed.
Race 3 and this is an interesting event and the favourite should be He Isn’t Really who looks well suited from the rails draw but for mine can be hit and miss on box rise. That’s why I will go with the pacey Zambora Magic out in box 8. He should be able to carve across in the run to the first turn and go on and win. The value runner is the pacey Yiche as she could pinch this with an ounce of early luck. Box Up 2.5.7.8
This is the 731m event of the night and we see the main performer’s front up in this event and they have all drawn out wide. I will go with the Petar Jovanovic’s Psychotic Gold again. She gives us a lot of worry’s early but powers home late. Grifter Bale should set the pace from the wide draw and with luck is a chance of skipping away. Add in Luna Jinx who hasn’t had a lot of luck in her past couple over the border for the Trifecta. Box Up 2.6.7.8
Race 5 and this is the Adelaide Cup Consolation and there are certainly several smart performers that missed the final tonight. Whoever can lead this should be the winner but I must add that there are several that will be rattling home over the top over the last 100m, so with all that jargon I am going for Fever Pitch from box 5. He loves this track but looked a little uncomfortable when going to the boxes here last week. He should have settled in over the week and can bounce back to his best form. Real Flash will need to be handy early for a bold showing along with the pacey Scarp Missile who led them a merry dance last week. Box Up 1.2.3.5 in a terrific race.
Race 6 and an interesting betting race, the favourite should be Blurred Lines out in box 8, the veteran of 60 starts looked outclassed here in a cup heat last start but will find this a lot easier and with his blistering early pace can be right in the mix looking for value. I am going with Weblec Rose she is better than recent form suggests and is a likely improver. Mcray has been racing well at Gawler and can’t be left out of calculations. Box Up 1.2.3.8.
The 7th and we have a small field of 5 over the 600m and they are all more than handy when they are at their best. Placid Planet is drawn for a forward showing down in box 1. He has been missing the kick of late and will need to be at his best to beat Genghis Kahn who will be right on the pace. Forget his last start over the sprint as he began very well and was then checked from pillar to post and was lucky to stay on all fours so we will go in order for $1 Trifecta 1.6.2.
Here it is the Adelaide Cup final race 8 with a massive $75.000 to the winner and only a very brave person would tip against the sensational Fernando Bale. He stumbled on box rise as he tried to beat the lids, he has 30 wins and 4 placings from 37 career starts. The Dailey kennel loves Adelaide and how good for us that they have brought this outstanding champion over the border. He went a slick 4.34 to the winning post and with the look at the track YES he should only improve. Kayda Shae was so unlucky here last week he did everything wrong in the run and was pipped on the post by Shared Equity in 29.61. He will be another who will be an improver. Looking for value and box 1 in a final is always a bonus so we will add in Waymores Blues who wasn’t disgraced when 2nd behind Fernado Bale. Venture out to Shared Equity who flew the lids and is a must for pick 4 punters. I can’t finish this race without giving HUGE accolades to the Hearnden kennel in qualifying their youngster in Lachlan Brown at only his 6th career start, the baby of the field led them a merry dance and won in 29.83 and what a fantastic effort to make a Group 1 in a handful of starts. I’m sure there will be some big offers from over the border for him and our 2nd finalist in Mobius, she came from last to qualify and made it a one two finish for the locals. Box Up 1.6.7.8
Race 9 we will go with It’s Classified for Troy Murray from box 1. He is well down in grade and will prove too strong. There are several for the pick four so Box Up 1 from 2.5.6.
Race 10 and this is a very open affair over the 600m. I will go with a tongue twister in Roethlisberger, he won on debut in SA over this trip and will only improve. Dyna Inca is boxed for a bold showing along with Rupert. Box Up 1.6.7.8
The Final event race 11 and Aston Coco should lead and win. Image Puzzle has speed and American Tony looks to have ability. Box Up 1.3.5.7

A newly defined empty out area is also almost ready at the southern end of the trainer’s car park to be used by trainers during race days and trial sessions, and for participants frequenting the slipping track.
It is hoped that the slipping track will assist metropolitan trainers for many years to come and provide a replacement for previously available public slipping tracks around inner Adelaide. GRSA will continue to focus on providing easily accessible and well maintained training and trialling infrastructure for participants.
With access to the Slipping Track being restricted the side access gait to the Trainers Car Park will be locked outside of normal business hours which will mean no access to the out of hours nominations box.

This review is conducted annually and aims to provide a comprehensive and formalised process with objectives being an improved grading system, enhanced review of rules and policies, reduced grading complaints and increased participant satisfaction with the system.
Prior to this meeting, agenda items will be sought by way of industry consultation.
This will be by way of consultation sessions at meetings, dealing specifically with grading items and also correspondence from participants.
The consultation sessions will be as follows:
Sunday 11th October Strathalbyn
Monday 12th October Angle Park
Tuesday 13th October Gawler
