TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow

Well it didn’t take long for Easter to arrive so it’s a must for all punters to win tonight so they can have a little bit extra to spend over the four day break.  The 11 event programme is very even so it should be a good night to snare a handy trifecta or First 4.

Race 1 and he didn’t let us down last week when winning here from box 2 in 30.13 and Aston Kane should only improve from his wide draw tonight, so we will put him on top.  Add in Red Can who is in form along with Firecette.  Box Up 2.4.7.8

Race 2 and this is a good betting race, the favourite will be Aussie Noorumba from box 5.  He is very smart when on the lure and looks well suited in this.  I like Irinka Grant at each way odds.  He appears well drawn and the kennel is in form of late.  Box Up 3.4.5.8

Race 3 and if Boonoona Boy is ever going to win again its tonight from box 1.  He is very tardy early and should be able to kick up early and go on and win.  Nowak is in box 5 and will be very hard to beat if he pings the lids.  Box Up 1.2.4.5

The 4th and it is very hard to go past Kalden Legenda with 4 wins on the trot all at this venue in handy times.  He should win again.  Don’t leave Dyna Keaton out.  He has pace and will be right in the mix.  Box Up 2.4.5.8

The 5th and Charlie Irwin has been around for a long time and he has a handy one in Sandave Gem.  She has been runner up here at her past two starts and is boxed for a bold showing in this.  Barnes Bay is another in form and is a big chance.  Box Up 1.2.3.8

Race 6 and this is a very open affair with at least 4 chances.  I like the outside brigade in Quick Kisses and Kingda Kahn, both are well drawn and have early pace.  Fog Light in the Lisa Rasmussen kennel charged home to win here last week and is nicely boxed down on the fence. Box Up 2.3.7.8

Race 7 and Peejay Jack has a good turn of early pace.  His best form has been from wide draws so tonight he gets the nod for mine.  Cosmic Wild is always a chance and is a must for trifecta punters looking for value. Freesia Bale has been struggling of late but did win from this draw four starts back in 29.98.  Box Up 1.5.6.7

Race 8 and the 3 main chances are Kalden Gambino, Young Gun McBain and Black Bottle.  They all have pace and will be charging to the 1st turn.  They have all won in recent starts so they look the trifecta in a very good race.  Add in He’s A Villian who has won his past two for the First 4.  Box Up 2.3.6.8

The 600m event of the night and Excusez Moi looks the measuring stick.  She has won her last 3 here all in good fashion so she is my top pick.  Van Carrho Flash has been mixing his form of late but is very smart when on the lure so can’t be dismissed.  Box Up 1.2.4.6
The 10th and one of the better bets of the night is Warrior Of Oz.  He has been racing well without winning and in this grade looks very hard to beat from box 8 for Dean Decrea.  Bianca Bale is always around the mark and is a must for trifecta punters.  Box Up 3.4.7.8

Race 11 and there are two chances for mine and they are Mcray and Ollington both have different racing styles with the latter a little hit and miss on box rise.  The minors are very wide open with a heap of chances so let’s go with 1 and 7 from 2.3.4 Boxed.

PAYMENT OF PRIZEMONEY/TRAINERS FEE
As GRSA continues to refine and increase our usage of the OzChase system we have moved away from our current manual methods of processing prizemoney/trainers’ fee and have started utilising reports automatically generated from OzChase.

With this increased functionality, GRSA has the ability to split prizemoney payments between owners and trainers, as opposed to the current situation where 100% of prizemoney is paid to one bank account.  Should trainers or owners wish to take advantage of this it will be necessary for additional forms to be lodged with GRSA.

As a result of the fact that the payments will be automated, each OzChase ID will only be able to have one bank account associated with it.  Whilst previously GRSA has been able to manually adjust this and provide separate remittance advices, unfortunately this option will no longer be available.
These changes have been implemented. Any queries regarding this change please contact Sarah Webster or the racing department on 08 8243 7100.

**Please ensure that all transfers of ownership have been lodged as each race meeting will be finalised on a daily basis. If the transfer has not been lodged before the greyhound competes then the prizemoney will be paid to the current ownership or withheld if there is no account.**
