TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow

Greyhound enthusiasts, we are in for a top night of racing with two big finals over the sprint and my favourite, the 731m.  A big congratulations to Gavin Harris on the win of Luna Jinx at the Meadows last Saturday night, she collected a lazy $100,000 and flew the flag for South Australia with a terrific win (drinks all round if you see Gavin at the track).

Race 1 and we kick the night off with a terrific race over the 515m and we have a mix of pace and run on types.  The value runner will be Big Zap as he is awkwardly drawn in box 5 but is still a big chance of mine.  Excusez Moi will be the punters elect and has the draw.  Add in Farmeroo and the well drawn Mr. Leonardo for the first 4.  Box Up 1.3.5.6

Race 2 and the Jarrod Murray trained Zipping Bart looks well suited down in box 1 and will be the measuring stick.  He can be tardy early but is strong at the right time.  Red Line Lad has pace, is the likely leader and is a big chance.  Box Up 1.2.6.7

The 3rd and we have a bit of pace and a swooper.  I will go with Danyo’s Luke who should kick up early and kick away down the back.  Hailstorm Billy has been struggling of late but is a chance of being the big improver who will be rattling home.  Box Up 1.2.3.6

This is the 600m event and how good is this event! Crash Dooley showed them a clean set of paws here last start when winning and is a big chance again in this.  Regal Looper, who is in the Butcher kennel and is on fire of late, can’t be overlooked.  Box Up 2.3.4.7

Interesting race is race 5 with several chances.  The main two are Aussie Noorumba and Times Due, they both have only had a handful of starts and early luck will play a big part.  The others for the trifecta look to be Tribal One and Red Can.  Box those 4 up 2.3.5.6

Race 6 and this is the Distance final and it would be a brave person to tip against the Petar Jovanovic trained Psychotic Gold.  She stamped her authority here last week with a good win and should be too smart again.  Grifter Bale and Ash Flash who should be the improver.  Box Up 1.3.6.7

Race 7 and we tipped him last start and he was never in doubt, although the odds were very short, Alderley Reform for veteran trainer Terry Cahalan.  He is well drawn again and will be very hard to beat.  Punishment is more than capable and is the big danger.  Box Up 1.2.6.8

This is the Anniversary Cup final as mentioned before.  The Cameron Butcher kennel is in form and Sidney’s Shadow is back to her best with three sizzling wins in a row here and at Strathalbyn.  She is my top pick again.  Kennel mate Coorong Kid is another who keeps on winning and is a must for trifecta punters.  Box Up 1.4.5.8

Race 9 and Young Gun McBain has the draw and he has the pace to kick up and win from the rails draw.  He carved out a handy 30.15 here last start and is my top pick.  He’s A Villian is a favourite of mine as he will be storming home.  Add in the pacey Spicy Peppa and Wowza Lee.  Box Up 1.3.6.8

Race 10 and the two to look for is the youngster Ollington and Bianca Bale who is ultra-consistent.  Both have early pace and are the main chances. If you like one at odds add in Park Glory as he is always a chance.  Box Up 1.3.4.8

The final event and I’m sick of mentioning it and I hope I don’t put the Kiss of Death on the Butcher kennel but get on Dodger I Am.  He is well down in grade and should top off a huge night for Cameron.  Add in the inform Peejay Jack and Zipping Spice.  Box Up 2.3.4.6

PAYMENT OF PRIZEMONEY/TRAINERS FEE
As GRSA continues to refine and increase our usage of the OzChase system we will shortly be moving away from our current manual methods of processing prizemoney/trainers’ fee and start utilising reports automatically generated from OzChase.

With this increased functionality, GRSA will have the ability to split prizemoney payments between owners and trainers, as opposed to the current situation where 100% of prizemoney is paid to one bank account.  Should trainers or owners wish to take advantage of this it will be necessary for additional forms to be lodged with GRSA.

As a result of the fact that the payments will be automated, going forward each OzChase ID will only be able to have one bank account associated with it.  Whilst previously GRSA has been able to manually adjust this and provide separate remittance advices, unfortunately this option will no longer be available.
These changes are expected to take effect from the payment batch being paid on 24 March 2015.

Any queries regarding this change please contact Sarah Webster or the racing department on 08 8243 7100.
