TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow

The highlight of tonight’s racing is the two terrific St Ledger semis.  Race 7 and 8 on the programme.  Both these semis have more than their fair share of talent and are sure to be very good betting affairs.  Race 9 looks to be a handy 600m event with 6 starters and several chances.

Race 1 and we can kick off the night with a winner in Elay Galaxy.  He is well drawn and has a good turn of early pace and should use box 1 to perfection.  The main danger looks to be Woodside Jagger and for value Merlot Monelli.  Box Up 1.3.6.8

Race 2 and Scottish Thistle was a handy run here last week and despite a poor draw appears a good chance in an open affair add Miss Footluce from box 2.  Who will be the improver along with Rajas Onyx who can kick up early.  Box Up 1.2.4.8

The 3rd and the two main chances are Bianca Bale and Oran Bale.  They both have different racing styles as one is a leader and the other will be rattling home.  Box Up 1.3.4.5

Race 4 and I am going with a quick beginner in this and that is Velocity Daff in the Johnstone kennel.  She should be right on the pace and will be very hard to beat.  The outside two both have chances and will be running on.  Box Up 2.5.7.8

Race 5 and it’s very hard to go past the inform Boojerooma.  She has notched up 5 wins here in a row all in quick times so we will make her a stand out in this event.  Cuddletime Tears has a good draw and can run another honest race.  So let’s go 4 from 1.3.7 Boxed.

The 6th and there is a lot of early pace in this race and it will be coming from the book ends in Woodnear and Black Bottle.  They both will be charging to the 1st turn.  One that will be running on is Squall Bale and he looks a good place claim.  Box Up 1.5.7.8

Race 7 and the first of the semis of the SA St Ledger and Wendy Matcott has a handy one in Fraya Bale.  She has a good turn of early pace and will be right in the finish.  Dyna Motley is another from their kennel and is a definite trifecta chance.  Add Coorong Kid and Dashing Dee Dee.  Box Up 1.2.3.5

Race 8 the 2nd of the semis and I like one at value in this, Red Can for Rob Harnas.  He has won his past couple here and loves to scout wide in his races.  Alderley Reform can improve again and has won here in quick times in the past.  Add Dodger I Am and the speedy Spicy Peppa for the trifecta.  Box Up 2.3.5.7

The 9th and this is a very good 600m event but I will stick with Beach Wary.  She will start the punters elect on his recent form and is drawn for a bold showing.  He’s A Villian will be the one to watch as he will be flying home late over the top of them.  Box Up 1.4.5.8

Race 10 and Dean Decree has a handy one in his kennel in Bakmar Miss.  She won here 2 starts back in 30.38 then led them a merry dance and was caught on the line in 30.11 last week from box 7.  The wide draw is a bonus and let’s hope she can pinch this.  The main danger looks to be Kingda Kahn and Lanny Lane.  Box Up 4.5.6.8

The final event and the main chances are the 1 dog who won here Monday Night in good time and Red Line Lad.  They both have good recent form.  Necro Bale’s best efforts have been when closer to the rails but he can’t be overlooked in this.  Box Up 1.4.7.8

TODD GRAY PREVIEWS TONIGHTS TATTSBET TREBLE JACKPOT RACES ALONG WITH SELECTIONS
Angle Park Treble - Race 6
Only a small field in the open class with some good depth here. Woodnear is stepping back up to the 500 metre trip after a few very impressive runs over the 388 at Angle Park and will get cover as Avavtar Kist likes to stay off the rails, but Chemical Maker drawn in 7 also loves to show early toe and may be a bit for seasoned over the 500 journey. Squall Bale will be storming home at the end if the front runners make each other work as will Black Bottle drawn out wide.
Race 7
First semi of the St Leger semi-final is a great one, Dyna Motley was a good all round run in its heat witn in 29.80 and will have every chance to repeat that with Dashing Dee Dee being moderate out but expect to see it flashing home at the end. Coorong kid is a strong show getting through the field well last week to win its heat and the beautifully drawn Taser Mcbain and Parsec bale can figure as well, Lots of depth here.
Race 8
The second semi-final see’s Alderley reform very awkwardly out in 7, probably the best dog but loves the rails and with early speed everywhere could find itself in trouble early. Dr Kiralee drawn perfect in 1 and will be the early leader along with Young Gun Mcbain from the champion little winning his heat almost leading throughout, Spicey Peppa is too good to overlook and if Red Can can continue to jump how is has been will run a cheeky race. First 4 from each heat make the final that will be a great race with the 5ths making the reserves
